MEET HECTOR SOSA
A graduate of Warren High School, Hector Sosa has spent decades serving Downey through leadership roles in the Downey Los Amigos Kiwanis, the Veterans Subcommittee, the Downey Foundation for Educational Opportunities (DFEO), and several other boards and committees. Hector and his wife, Daisy, have been married for over 25 years and are the proud parents of two sons, Lucas and Joshua.
Continuing the Grassroots Mission
Leveraging his experience with Gangs Out of Downey (GOOD) and the Downey Police and Fire Foundation (DPFF), he will continue fighting for proactive youth programs and education on the dangers of drugs like Fentanyl.

As Chair of the Budget Subcommittee, Sosa has used his financial expertise to prioritize responsible spending and maintain total transparency in city operations.

Communtiy Outreach
Beyond strengthening bonds with the school district and youth sports, Sosa is proud to have launched Downey's first Men’s Mental Health Awareness Fair and plans to make it an annual event.
